Baldwin, Briscoe, Steinmetz & Ohri, P.C., a leading Southern Maryland law firm, proudly announces the addition of Nivea A. Ohri, Esq., as its newest partner, effective January 1, 2025.
Since joining the firm in 2022, Ms. Ohri has represented hundreds of clients in Southern Maryland, securing successful outcomes in the areas of Criminal, Domestic Violence, DUI, Personal Injury, and Civil Litigation in Charles, Calvert, and St. Mary’s counties.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Ohri gained extensive experience with the Maryland Office of the Attorney General, the US Department of Defense, and the US Department of Homeland Security.
A graduate of American University’s Washington College of Law, she previously served as clerk to The Honorable Judge Michael J. Stamm. Ms. Ohri is an active member of the St. Mary’s County Bar Association, Maryland State Bar Association, Southern Maryland Inns of Courts, a Board member of the Charles County Bar Association, and became a member of the National College for DUI Defense.

Born and raised in St. Mary’s County, Ms. Ohri’s deep understanding of local courts and community needs has been instrumental in her success. She is a 2024 Graduate of Leadership Southern Maryland Emerging Leaders Program, and remains active in the community, notably through her leadership role with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
