Associate Attorney

Nivea Ohri is an Associate Attorney at The Law Offices of Baldwin, Briscoe & Steinmetz, P.C. She handles criminal and civil matters, including but not limited to personal injury and domestic.

Ms. Ohri graduated from American University’s School of International Service in Washington, D.C., majoring in International Relations, concentrating on the Middle East and North African (MENA) region, and a minor in Arabic. After graduation, Ms. Ohri attended American University’s Washington College of Law and obtained her Juris Doctor. During law school, Ms. Ohri worked for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. Department of Defense at Joint Base Andrews, Coast Guard Headquarters, and the Maryland Office of the Attorney General.

After graduating from law school, Ms. Ohri returned to her hometown to gain invaluable experience as a law clerk and an administrative assistant to St. Mary’s County Circuit Court administrative judge, The Honorable Michael J. Stamm. In addition, Ms. Ohri served as a law clerk and administrative assistant for various senior judges visiting St. Mary’s Circuit Court across the State of Maryland.

Having been raised in St. Mary’s County, Ms. Ohri holds deep community ties. She is an avid volunteer at the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) along with her family. In 2018 and 2020, she and her family helped host a campaign to beat blood cancer.

Ms. Ohri is an active member of the St. Mary’s County Bar Association, Maryland State Bar Association, Southern Maryland Inns of Courts, a Board member of the Charles County Bar Association and became a member of the National College for DUI Defense.

Ms. Ohri is fluent in Punjabi, Hindi, and Urdu. She loves to travel, try new cuisines, and learn new languages.
